About me

I can best describe myself as a happy amateur photographer. I enjoy the creative process in taking a shot and creating an image that I find appealing - sometimes planned and sometimes by accident. I find great inspiration here in Flickr, thanks to all those that make this site so interesting!

Gear

I bought my first SLR - an Olympus OM-10 - in the former millenium when I was a teenager. I did a lot of B&W photography back then in darkroom, under the red lamp with the smell of various chemicals. So much has changed since then...

After many years, my Olympus broke, and I had a long break from serious photography until I got my first D-SLR, The Konica Minolta Dynax 5D. This served me well for 5 years , after which I had the Sony DSLR A580 and now the Sony SLT-A77.

I have had to upgrade my bag as well, as I over the years have added a few lenses, and thus need to carry more. My current collection includes:

Sigma 30mm f1.4

Konica Minolta 50mm f1.4

Sigma 70mm Macro f2.8

Sigma 85mm f1.4

Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6

Sony 18-55mm f3.5-5.6

Sony 70-300mm G f4.5-5.6

I use Adobe Lightroom to organize my pictures and to do some post-processing. I also use various plug-ins as well as Photomatix.
