My aim is to see and capture the fleeting moments in the rush of the life of the city.

I started taking pictures at about age 5 with an Argoflex Seventy-five twin-lens reflex camera that was a gift from my Uncle Frank. My mother would bring home rolls of 620 film and I would just snap away. I burned a lot of film and a lot of flashbulbs, but they never seemed to run out. When I find a picture of me with that camera, and some of those photos (they're around here somewhere), I'll post them. Later, I graduated to a Nikon F2 which I got on loan from my high school, where I also learned darkroom techniques and took a lot of pictures for the yearbook and the school newspaper. After that, I shot tens of thousands of frames on an Olympus OM-1. Now I use a Nikon D70 but I am frustrated with it because it is one slow camera and I miss some of those fleeting moments.
