always have this awkward silence at the beginning when I have to say something about myself. So...let start..

My name's Michaela. I'm living in Dublin, Ireland over 7years. Originally I'm from Poland.

When I was a kid my father brought a small, old Konica Minolta to home and I was deeply, madly in love. Unfortunately I couldn't use this camera because i was a 'child without knowledge' so I was following him like a sheep every time when he was taking pictures. After my 'sheep method' he shortly explained to me what is photography and I could use it.

That was my beginning. After was school, university and no time for old, lost love. I rediscovered this love when I met crazy, funny friend who gave me old Zenith. I was so so happy about it. Started to do something with photography. Learning, reading and practicing.

I had an car accident two years ago and I put photography a little bit away. When my friend brought me to the hospital Nikon, the first thing which I did, was holding this camera in my hands and just feel it.

My rehabilitation after accident and all this coming back to normal, I mixed with photography which was the best choice I've ever made so far.

Have to admit, it's not easy piece of cake but it is rewarding a lot, instantly.

I'm not doing like my fellows photographers - quick, fast stepping up on the career stairs. I'm doing this slow, rationally, with mistakes which allow me to learn this craft. More conscience I will say. I'm doing shoots for friends, strangers, newspapers, for everybody who will hire me. But the money is not the key here. I have a job which gives me a freedom to the some point. But i dream to make photography as my major job. That will be fantastic :) dream come true.
