I predominantly shoot in film. The smell, its texture, grain and physicality gives me direct tactile involvement over all parts of the creative process. Starting from the conscious decision of what film to use (and taking into consideration its qualities) to the choice of camera and lenses, I enjoy the movement, energy and inner feeling that photography brings.

I am on my feet and press the button. The shutter opens and sunlight burns an image permanently into a light-sensitive film. I unroll it, wash it, and put it through chemicals. I cut it, scan it and print it. Each step tangible and real. I love what I do, and each moment is simultaneously deliberate and magical.
