My dad taught me to use an SLR when I was a kid. He had this beat up old AE-1 that he'd carried around for years. I have been fascinated with photography ever since.

I blame the AE-1 and its kit lens for my shallow depth of field. It had a wonderful, little 50/1.8 piece of glass that has kept me shooting wide-open, years later.

I'm also in love with black and white—for that I blame Manhattan and Woody Allen.

I shoot a 5D now. I love it. I'm going to try and get better about uploading things as I take them. We'll see how it goes.
