At Mesén, we are a team of five working with the curation, production, and dissemination of art in public spaces. As art project managers, we take responsibility for the process, collaboration, finances, and progress, and we realize both small and large-scale projects. We work closely with artists, clients, and partners in all phases of a project, always with the best interest of the art and the project in mind.

Our goal is to be a leading player in the field of contemporary art, developing art projects with care for place and people, in collaboration with municipalities, county councils, institutions, and private actors. We work in healthcare and educational institutions, in public squares and meeting places, and with temporary projects aligned with urban and local development. We are inspired by working with art that touches a societal nerve and reflects the time we live in.

Since 1999, Mesén has aimed to be a creative producer of experimental, site-specific art in public spaces – outside the frameworks of traditional institutions and established art venues. We are based in Oslo but carry out projects all across Norway.
