In addition to her work as a literacy expert and staff developer, Meredith Alvaro is also a Common Core Standards Expert, allowing her to teach to a set of standards that encourage higher learning and measurable increases in achievement among students. With other unique qualifications like NJASK preparation training and literacy tutelage, Meredith Alvaro is a gifted and highly skilled teacher and teacher/staff trainer. Meredith Alvaro is a strong advocate for the value of learning and of demonstrating true comprehension in reading and writing. Meredith Alvaro has successfully built curriculums to instill these values and abilities in students for years as well. Having participated at Columbia University Teachers College in the creation and assessment of the Common Core Standards, Meredith Alvaro is in a special position of being able to

strategies to enhance and foster increased student achievement.
