Recently I picked up an entry-level NIKON D40 DSLR Camera. Little did I know that this is actually one of the hobbies that can really consume my time. But l have no regret because I can be drowning in enjoyment doing it. What more when every picture has got its own personal story to tell.

Photography is literally a process of recording pictures by means of capturing light on a light-sensitive medium, such as a film or electronic sensor. Light patterns reflected or emitted from objects expose a sensitive silver halide based chemical or electronic medium during a timed exposure, usually through a photographic lens in a device known as a camera that also stores the resulting information chemically or electronically.

But, it's not as easy as what technically is, hence, it's far tougher when it comes to the practical part of it. Trust me, it's not that easy!

I never have thought photography was kind of tough subject before I started picking up my DSLR Camera. It's far removed from the digicam and/or Point-and-Shoot camera that I used to handle before.

As I view photography as an artistic endeavour (with technology to help out in creating the output), I found myself learning all the jargons I never had learned before like aperture, shutter speed, white balance, metering, ISO speed and what not.

After sometime using my basic DSLR, so then I knew why people would spend their time and money in this hobby. You'd see the limitation in your equipments as your knowledge grows. You want more. You want to do it better.And... it's fun, nontheless.

People would stare at me when I said I am aiming to own NIKON D3 or may be change camp to Canon with CANON EOS-1Ds Mark III.

Anyway, I am learning new things in photography by the day.

Have a good day! Smile!
