melina's photos are inspirational, i love the colors, the composition and there is motion. she shoots ordinary things—a philosophy i'm trying to embrace—and finds their beauty as seen in her stream.

Melina is confident with her own skills, something really unfair for the rest of us :D. She really enjoys photography, making it a true part of her life, while she never hesitates to go through different types of experimentation, leaving for a while her typical (but so well-portrayed) and progressively shining agenda. I don't know her in person, but her character is easy-going and amusing and this is where it all seems to be starting from. Although I still have no clue how can she pull out all this amazing color irrationality in her pictures that really makes her work so special, it's impossible not to like the great inside mixture of feelings than most of her pictures reveal. They can't make you feel happy due to their imposition of realism, but they are somehow providing a warm type of security. A real artist of the streets who loves red colors :)

Waking dreams of dimensions we can only reach by trusting our generous guide, once embarked upon Melina's tour of the secret universe will never be forgotten.

mel-pin belongs to an ancient civilization that comes from the future. Her images and words -which people often percieve as poetry- are in fact fragments of that civilization's way of seeing and thinking. She is the inventor and only member of her tribe. Handle with care...

Mel-pin is a true expressionist photographer. Looking through her stream --you can see how her images become more confident and with it -- more expressive. She is not after the realism of the surface of things but after the realism of their -- and her own -- soul. And what titles!

This beautiful stream is truly a revelatory manifestation, in imagery and text, of a life filled with great emotion and romance - - one that you too may recognize is all around you. Wash away your cares and sink deeply into her poetic ocean. Enrich your heart and mind with her soul-felt imagery and text. Let go. Really let go. I promise. You will never be the same.

Melina's talent never fails to amaze me. She reports the unseen events of the universe, which is just fine for me when I need to know what's what, what is really important in this world, what's going on in our own souls. I come around whenever I need an update, which is often. :)

There is a uniqueness here, in Mel's photography. It's a story that unfolds one layer at a time, photograph by photograph, revealing mysteries of great beauty.

I'm new to Flickr, but Melina's work stood out from day one. I think she was one of my first contacts. Her deft use of color, and those RED legs, stopped me in my tracks. She's an amazing talent and one to watch.

I agree that Melina's work is quite fine stuff...I feel inspired by her lomo photography as it does not suffer from cliche even tho it shares the common points that make lomo popular now...her stuff come across as timeless I guess and not retro as some work does...her Flickr site is amongst those I check most often...

Melina is a proper talent and a bona fide artist & poet! Loads of peole can get lucky with lomo cameras & cross processing but you need talent and an eye to be consistent. She has a great eye for beauty in the mundane and takes fantastic pictures of kids (very hard to do without looking like family snaps!)
