I've *known* Lia for a while now from afar. Occasionally we'd exchange comments or notes. Lately, though, I've been getting to know her better and her art still speaks with a strong and melodious voice to me. She's a mentor to me of what an "everyday artist" truly is. Her tenacious dedication, constant work product, and gracious, forgiving and positive support of art in the everyday and everybody is truly an inspiration to me that maybe, just maybe one day I can accomplish a tenth of what she does. I know Lia through her collages, her journals and her paintings. Her photos have allowed me a peek into her home and workspace. She is a true artist who creates from the heart and soul of who she is. But...she's high up on my list of generous and sharing women. I contacted her for help in getting a flickr badge onto my weblog and the very next night, she responded with an email outlining the procedure. I followed her instructions and after months of trying on my own and having no success, voila...there it was! She took time out of a very busy schedule and an even busier life as mom and artist, to help me out...I am grateful and I thank her from the bottom of my heart!
