Shoot my first pictures with age 12 (see here for my Darkroom Memories).

In one years (2013) sgw I retire and than have more time for my hobby and upload old pictures for my flickr friends

 

I like flickr (*) (**) - this is a fantastic invention for photo addicts like me.

And - as I have tried to express my feelings in the title lines - flickr is also a phantastic tool to see the wonderful deeds of the Creator.

 

(*) May 2013 : what I wrote above was before the drastic change in flickr - what a shame and pitty for this wonderful invention. I'm still looking for an alternative - have tried ipernity but this is so much work to move over.

(**) Oct 2014 - I repent and come back to flickr - did not found a real alternative to this site - unfortunately. God will start in the coming weeks to upload new stuff.

I need your learned advice in order to improve !

I see so many phantastic photos here - especially from my contacts - that I sometimes ask myself if I have the right to post at all together with this absolute experts ...

So please - don't hesitate to guide me where to change, where to add and where to remove, where to put color and where to leave black and white ...

And a great salute to Trey Ratcliff who's art opened my eyes to see that I have an impressionist vein by myself.

 

And therefore - Photography is an Art - and not a technique.

But one cannot exist without the other (-:)

 

What makes me sigh : to see excellent photos on flickr in stamp (<=1024) resolution.

Friends - if a giant like Trey Ratcliff can post in original size - dwarfs like us can do all the more so !

 

A word about contacts

I read at many peoples profile that they request reprocity and activity from their contacts.

I do not support this approach.

I use the contact tool only as a mean to stay up-to-date about the newest piece-of-art of certain people - which in flickr lingo are called "contacts" - there is no need that my contacts make me a contact too - only if they like my style and want be updated - and - although it is nice to receive feedback - there is certainly no obligation to comment on my pictures - only if you like or dislike - see above.
