...photographing is an interpretation of the image you see. It was there all the time, just waiting for you to capture it. Framed by a click and a moment frozen in time. Photography for me is an interpretation of light and color. With the arrival of digital photography and post-processing of photo's the interpretation part shifted more towards post-processing your photo's. But a good photo is still a good photo. My photo stream is therefor W.I.P. and I continue to challenge myself with new kinds of photography.
As an amateur photographer I'm divided between photographing mainly nature (especially Wild Orchids) in spring and summer and architecture all year round. When photographing plants I try to capture the plant in it's habitat. On the internet a lot photos of plant species zoom in to a specific details e.g. a flower, but forget to show it's surroundings. What plants grow alongside it? What does the habitat tell us? What about the ecology?
