Mollie wasn't what I expected when I opened the door on my 31st birthday. A surprise from my wife, she was dressed there in a beautiful sunflower costume with little red dots painted on her cheeks. "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine.... you make me hap-py when skies are gray..." my singing telegram went on to sing. She was perky and really into her job. But half way through I noticed a change in her tune. It could been because I was half-way through shaving my chest and she was frightened by the Bigfoot-looking figure in front of her, or the fact that she was sweating up a storm in her sunflower costume. "I'm just really sad that I can't go out and take pictures today" She told me with a trembling voice. "It's such a beautiful day and I just want to head out with my friends to the fields and take pictures of everything... but I have 12 more houses to hit with all these stupid songs....." Her spirit was uncanny. I invited her in for some Fruit Loops and tea and we talked for a while about her passion for taking photos and how it inspires her. Come to find out she is a really great girl, spunky, mature and funny. But for all you future boyfriends of hers... don't try to impress her with sunflowers. Not her favorite flower....
