For as long as I remember I have always looked at photographs and found them the most interesting thing in the world. When I was younger I wouldn't read books I would just flick the pages and look at the pictures. I was always obsessed with getting my photograph taken or taking photographs of other people. Photography seems to be the only thing I've ever been good at in life so i'm going to run with that.

I have weird obsessions every now and then to try and distract what I really feel like. Generally I'm not a hyper person but when something makes me happy I get really excited.

As I live in a small town but go to art college in the city I want to possibly leave the country when I'm all done with education. I will more than likely end up being the hippy mother that forces music and pictures on her children, live in a small cabin in Canada somewhere and spend her whole life smoking and photographing.

Through the medium of mostly 35mm film photography, Megan catches moments which are so real, which bring about so many emotions when witnessed by the viewer. Her true to life, grainily and lowly saturated style has been a favourite of mine for sometime now, and never fails to pause me to take in what I've seen. From her delicate snapshots of otherwise ignored sections of the workplace, to her abrupt and in your face portraits of couples kissing at parties, she truely captures what is going on around us, what we take for granted every day, and makes it a celebration of that moment. In this modern age where Photoshop is king and the original photograph that a photographer takes is bearly recognisable once it has been twisted, manipulated and airbrushed into a fake and unrealistic image of what the subject truely is, it's refreshing to see such a true to life and gritty photographer out there, who can stir up emotions and thoughts which in real time, one may never have felt.
