In October 2006 I noticed that I can use my yahoo account to log in here at flickr, so after coming here from time to time to look at Gullevek's photos I thought I try uploading my own..

My first "real" camera was an Olympus OM-20 (I had some "plastic cameras" before, though), but since developing a roll of film wasn't cheap I never took as many photos as I wanted to..

When digital cameras came along I bought one as soon as they were affordable. My first one was a Kodak DC25, bought more than ten years ago. It had a resolution of 493 x 373 (that's 0.18) Megapixels :) and you had to use special (non-rechargeable) batteries. This meant that I hardly ever used the LCD screen. Since then I upgraded my camera several times.

I continued to use my OM-20 from time to time, but after the mirror locked up and got repaired there was a problem with the focus. (The focus in the viewfinder was not the same as the focus on the film.) Despite these problems I continued to use the Olympus until autumn 2006, when it broke again. I did't get it repaired as I have a digital SLR now, that delivers good quality ..and recently I also got my mother's old SLR, a Contax, that I can use if I want to use film.
