I have always found photography to be fun. When I was a

kid, it was something to show people, and to explain something differently than

other people might have seen. Growing up, photos meant film and not all the

fancy stuff I have now. Film meant money, which meant I didn't shoot much. I

took photos still, but without money to buy new film it was nearly impossible to

do it. I can still recall how much fun it was to go to K-Mart and get your

photos back. You never knew what was all on the roll because it took so long to

complete one!

Then came the digital film revolution... I saw the light, literally and

figuratively. (well, after a couple years of refinement- I didn't see the logic

in floppy disks as 'film') I was no longer restricted by rolls of film, number

of shots, and money to develop... and I could tell if the picture was any good

right then and there!

I am slowly, and hopefully always, getting better at people pictures, nature

photos, and travel photos. Digital it makes it a lot easier to get results for

me. I am a geek at heart.

And the biggest reason I like the back end of the camera, I get to take the

photos and no one is taking them of me!

I *love* this guy! He's got heart and is deeply compassionate about his buds. He knows how to take a great photo, and he also knows how to crop a photo to look like it's a spin-off of the Blair Witch project.
