I have borrowed a lot of photographs from Flickr over the years while teaching, and I wanted to get my personal collection from Mexico and Central America into this forum to help repay my debt to all those whose high-quality images went into my presentations. Some of the photographs you can find here, I think, are aesthetically attractive and others are historically significant or compelling--for example, my photographs of the General Strike in Guatemala of 1993 which led to the fall of Jose Serrano's government or my series of the funeral of a child in northern, rural Nicaragua who died from dehydration associated with influenza. So, please, use and circulate freely.
