Have you ever read of children who were born deaf or blind and could hear or see for the first time after a miraculous operation? Well, I feel like one of those children. My miracle was my first DSLR that I got in December 2012. It was as if I truly saw for the first time in my life. Nothing prepared me for the miracles it brought to my life.

The world of photography is complicated but at the same time exhilarating. I find myself constantly falling between the wonder of it all and the frustration of my lack of knowledge, experience and equipment. I love every moment of discovery. I am a wide eyed child again. I am aware of new colours, textures, light, composition. Sometimes my camera composes these unearthly visual songs whilst in my hands, and what a glorious discovery it is when I look at my images on my PC and discover the wonders I somehow managed to capture in my photography infancy.

I am a little more than a year into the journey and I am a woman possessed. A woman in love. May I remain that way for the rest of my days…
