Afterthoughts Photography
lynnmcintosh@earthlink.net
Brief:
Lynn has had pictures displayed in regional Photography Exhibitions. He describes how, along with his camera, he searches for the obvious story - and the not-so-obvious - from wildlife to street life to people in their element, and the spontaneous moments that may live only as an afterthought: unless there is a picture.
Additionally, he has had 27 images of his black and white photography story of “In Washington’s Shadow," an original one-person show in four Northern Virginia Art Galleries.

Taking pictures is a late-in-life revisit for Lynn McIntosh, following a 50-year career in broadcasting. Lynn has had solo Photography Exhibits entitled "Washington's Shadow – Images in Limbo," at four galleries in Northern Virginia: The Center for the Arts in Manassas; the Colgan Hall Exhibit Center at Northern Virginia Community College; the Haymarket Medical Center - Community Art Gallery (Virginia); and the Art Studio at Goodwin Living in Alexandria, VA; each is presented as an acrylic image, (see link above) using a limbo art style, to suggest a more personal connection to each image's story scripted in our history's nearly 250 years Timeline. The "In Washington's Shadow" collection is from memorials and subjects, on or near the National Mall in Washington, DC.
Lynn is the past president and a Heritage Hunt Photography Club member in Gainesville, Virginia. As storytellers, "We save moments, we're photographers." Searching for the story everywhere is our challenge.
