I've spent about half my life in the US and half in the UK, but I'm currently on the left side of the Atlantic. I originally started my Flickr account as way of staying in touch with far flung family and friends, but I've used it for more and more things over the years and I really enjoy meeting new people here and being inspired by their creativity.
I have a variety of hobbies including cooking, knitting, sewing, spending way too much time on the internet, and of course photography. As far as cooking goes I've been a vegetarian since I was thirteen (they told me it was just a phase, and maybe it is, but it's a very long phase...) and I'm getting into wholegrain cookery after finding it makes a huge difference to my health. I taught myself to knit about two years ago & now I delight in being able to knit myself intricately cabled sweaters. I got my sewing machine in October 2009 and I'm really enjoying learning how to use it, especially for quilting which I find fascinating, there is so much colour theory involved. I volunteer at my local no-kill pet shelter, and when my health permits I love long walks and swimming. I've used a point and shoot ever since I went digital, and I love the way I can just stuff it in my pocket & go, but I'm really looking forward to learning how to use my new Nikon D40 in 2010. In October 2009 I started a 365 project which I'm really enjoying, it is stretching me both as a person & as a photographer.

Anna is a great flickr member! She has an eye for a good photograph and wonderful shots. I'm very happy I found her and her photo page.
You are terrific! So are your photos. A testimonial isn't necessary. Remember the testimonial in "The Wizard of Oz?" The Tin Man gets one near the end, but he always had what was essential. Not only does he have a heart, but he is loved very much by his friends.
