I am a country boy, raised on a tobacco farm in Cedar Grove, NC. My McDade ancestors settle in Cedar Grove in 1804 on some of the land where I live. My oldest son is the 8th generation to farm this land.

My interest in history and photography developed over the years, after retiring I spend most of my time enjoying my family, nature and capturing some of God's great creations in photographic art.
