I enjoy photographing, but McCOCK makes art. I'm sure he has worked on his craft, but he must have been born with a unique talent. He looks through his 50 mm lens at the streets of Downtown Tokyo. If he's a bit playful, he finds things that are just a little bit off kilter, a little bit unconventional, and extracts comedy along with beauty. When he is in a serious mood, he is a master of finding and showing beauty in the mundane. I am just a huge fan of this truely unique photographer. AND, his work is not just great art, but it's also an insight into Japanese psyche.
