I'm just a twenty-something guy who likes to take pictures of the places he goes, and see the places others have been.

Photography for me is a hobby. It's part gear-lust. Part desire to document life. Part desire to capture something beautiful and interesting.

I'm a recent transplant from the East Coast to Southern California. With the ocean on one side, desert landscapes on the other, and 14k mountain ranges to the north, I've spent the last few years in a state of constant exploration whenever I can get out of the office and go somewhere.

Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite NP, especially around June when the snow melts and the road first opens, is probably my favorite place in the world.

Recently, I've started having some fun with setup shots right here in my living room. I've got one SB-600, and one of these days I'm going to buy another flash or two. I like the tinkering, the improvisation of building something out of whatever is laying around, and the fact that occasionally a simple, cool shot can come out of the clutter surrounding it.
