"In my mind's eye, I visualize how a particular . . . sight and feeling will appear on a print. If it excites me, there is a good chance it will make a good photograph. It is an intuitive sense, an ability that comes from a lot of practice."

Ansel Adams

I just love Flickr, the people and all the wonderful images from around the world. I have had an interest in photography since I was a boy. I am a Freelance Photographer. I do Weddings and other special events and custom framing and matting services.

I do very little if any enhancements to my photos. I like the natural, although I appreciate and enjoy the work of other's. I envy some of those HDR photos that kick ass. I don't care for over processed, heavily saturated photos that look like something out of a child's coloring book.

I was born and raised in western Mich. on the shore of Lake Mich. In 1978 I was living in south Florida where I met some people from upstate NY. I was invited to come up here to spend a summer in Lake George and upon arrival I knew I had found my new home. It was March of '78 and I've been here ever since.

I love the outdoors. Hiking, skiing, boating and golf are all passions and as my midlife aches and pains set in I can slow down and rest with a camera in hand.

This Dude has never forgotten his wise father's life-changing advice to an impressionable young son, "Go for the Jaw Mikey." And his remarkable grip on Flickr is testimony to that. This Dude has never forgotten his wise father's life-changing advice to an impressionable young son, "Go for the Jaw Mikey." And his remarkable grip on Flickr is testimony to that. With, currently, 74 confirmed Explore hits, and another 14 slipping beneath the Scout radar, it is obvious to man and beast that our Mikey is a rubbish photographer. With just two short of an Explore century, anyone can see he doesn't know one end of a camera from other. I just wish he loosened his iron-first grip, if only for a moment, on photography to allow us mere mortals a stab at the Flickr glory that engulfs him and he so richly deserves. I could also drone on about his tremendous personal qualities too. But, hell, he'd be running for President next! And the smart money says he'd throttled the life out of politics too. Mikey, from seeing all your delightful family shots too, I reckon your Pop would be saying: - The boy done good!!!!

Aside from being an amazing photographer and having a fantastic eye. Michael is a true Flickr friend. His supportive comments make you feel special and honoured to be in his contact list. Having Michael as a contact is one of Flickr's best rewards. And he is definitely one of my favourite people on Flickr.
