Marcus, based in south eastern UK, has a passion for travelling and nature - which provide the main inspiration for his photography. His interest in capturing images was triggered by an unforgettable trip around Australia way back in 1998 then the wildlife and vast landscapes blew his mind. Of course, this was pre digital, so he has a few albums full of ageing 6x4 prints taken on his first camera, a cheap Pentax SLR and even cheaper Sigma zoom lens.
Since then he has acquired a Canon EOS 5d MkII and a backpack of lenses, and most recently a Fuji X-T10 (and X-E1) and some superb Fuji glass. In the summer months he can be spotted lying prone near ponds photographing dragonflies and other insects, with the MP-E65 or Sigma 105mm macro lenses. He loves Japan, where he has spent several family holidays and business trips. The people, the nature, the neon.....it's all there to be captured.
He's also returned to film for a bit of fun - shooting with a Rolleicord V TLR.
