I've been doing photography as a hobby for the last 30 years. Initially, I mostly did astronomical photography. Being born between the majestic St-Laurence River, the mountains and the sky, the choice was easy for me: I will study Nature. And so I did. A few years later, I left the University with a Ph.D. in astrophysics. Pictures of the sky? A lot I did. But the images of my youth's landscapes were always coming back, and more and more I got interested in landscapes photograpgy. Acquiring a digital camera accelerated my visual exploration. I got interested in color studies, then in geometry... finally I discovered miksang photography, which is a sort of zen photography. Today, I mix these styles and I just follow my heart. This is what you will see here: A vision of Nature through my eyes, from my inner side.

Lately I started to explore photographism... a kind of mixture between graphism and photography. More active, more creative, more controlled. Still nature as a cornerstone. But more integrated with what we are.

I am constantly overwhelmed by the paradoxes of nature: it's infinite complexity and it's desarming simplicity, the importance and the absolute insignificance of everything.

And we are right in the middle, part of these paradoxes.

Welcome to my world!

Edouards photostream is full of intenseness and carefulness. To me it shows some of the passion and sincerity he spends on the subject. The result is highly enjoyable and makes me return to his work often. I really like Edouards style, pictures and encourage everyone to take the time and see his work.
