Born in Greenpoint, N.Y., I grew up on Long Island and moved to Florida as a Junior in High School. Currently homeless but going back to school online at Argosy Online University. I am working on a bachelors in Psychology with a view toward substance abuse counseling. I used to take substances. As a high school and college student. Was it because of them I did not graduate or get work? I don't know. I believed in what was called "the revolution" where we all shared things in common. Some trouble came to that.

I have been very intetested in philosophy, especially Indian philosophy since I was in school in the 70's. Personalism and impersonalism or non-duality (monism) and duality (bhakti).

I am following a Guru, Swami "Gurumayi" Chidvilasananda. Her grace has been my good fortune since I became homeless early this year, 2012. I have taken what I think are many intensives in Siddha Yoga. My first was in 1992, though I had read books and used the mantra since 1979.

I first heard of Baba, I think in an ad in Yoga Journal. I never got to meet him though he was in Miami in 1980. Money, you know. I met Gurumayi in South Fallsburg, at Shree Muktananda Ashram in 1992. I felt like I already knew her through the magazine dedicated to her, DARSHAN.

Before Gurumayi and Siddha Yoga I had a sincere interest in Master Saint Sant Satguru Kirpal Singh. He now appears on my Facebook page. He took mahasamadhi in 1974.

I am vegetarian, not vegan.

It has been very long since I had a camera. I had an Sony HD videocamera but it was stolen by a man who sold it for crack cocaine. Maybe that was why I took to studying substance abuse. Maybe that's why a substance abuse counselor took me into his place for 6 years until he retired. A year and 3 months later I was able to get SSI. I've had it for almost 2 years and now have my own place, a room in house where no drugs or alcohol are allowed. No more cameras though except the smart phone.
