I have a degree in English Literature from a Syrian university. I was granted a Fulbright scholarship to the USA in 1994 where i earned an MA in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TESOL).

In 1997 i was stranded on the island of England where i had to make a home for myself. I decided to teach Egyptian dancing as i couldn't find work. In 2000, I established my business Middle Eastern Dance Studio which teaches and promotes the Arab culture in Lincolnshire. I worked for the City of Lincoln Council as a Dance Development Worker in April 2005 based at the Drill Hall. I loved that job as it allowed me to do other things such as working in schools, translating for the police and lawyers, following my passion for languages, dance and arts.

In Feb of 2006, I re-evaluated my life and and my ambitions. I decided to learn Spanish as i visit Spain more than any other country. started learning Flamenco Dancing, and I was taking private tuition in Arts to meet the requirements for a foundation course of Art School. My next step is to earn a degree in arts which is what i always wanted to do since i got my high school degree.

I like to live somewhere sunny but not necessarily hot. Inside me is a gypsy traveller who can't settle in one place. I'm always on the move . I don't have roots and can't be tied down to one place!

I moved to the States in Dec. 2006 and resided in Worcester. I went back to teaching English as a second language and i perform belly dancing once a week at a local restaurant.

I'm still interested in art and i'm taking a class in Chinese brush painting.

I'm in the process of applying to schools to see if i can have a doctorate in education or an under graduate degree in arts.

i hope by the next time i update my profile, i'll have more interesting news for you.
