// Who’s the girl behind the camera? //

Science graduate of the Master of Ecology at the University of Bremen with a great passion for anything creative, especially photography, graphic and web design, illustration, typography and programming languages as well as knitting, sewing and much other craftsy stuff. (:

I’m carrying cameras with me since I was 11 years old and they became a constant companion. The themes of my first shots were our hamsters, cat and arrangements of several dolls and plushies. While being on vacation, landscapes were added to my collection. It was here where I learned to see through a camera lense more consciously. Macro photography was not possible yet (we didn’t have any lense for that) and understandably the SLR of my mom was still off-limits because I was already using 2 to 3 spools photographic film (I was not good at focusing manually… ;)). After graduating from high school, I discovered the kingdom of plants and noticed that they can be quite pretty, too. Ever since I am kind of stuck with the macro mode but I take an effort to shoot in different focal lengths and angles as well as considering other themes like people, textures, abstract photography and whatever I haven’t tried yet. It never gets boring because there’s always something I can challenge myself with.
