I'm a visual artist, born Maximilian Grossmeier in Liepzig, in the former German Democratic Republic, in 1952. I graduated at the local Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst (Academy of Visual Arts). After a successful debut in paintng (when I shortened my name in Max Gross), with many exhibitions all over the world, I left my country and committed myself in conceptual art (including a performance at the Venetian Biennale). I'm now dealing with photography under an episthemologic point of view. I live in the surroundings of Talkeetna, Alaska.
