I was born in Torino, Italy and moved around Italy quite a bit, finally settling with my family in Florence, where my parents and brother continue to live. I traveled to Canada in 1979 to attend college in Victoria, BC, then continued on to University of Toronto, and stuck around Toronto ever since.

I started developing an interest in photography early on, experimenting with Ilford film and development techniques back in my early days in high-school. After a hiatus of several years, I returned to photography when early digital compacts started to become affordable, eventually graduating to a Canon G9 a few years ago, and more recently a Nikon D90 DSLR.

I hope that someday, perhaps when retired, I might turn photography into more than a hobby. For now, I make my living in Toronto as an IT manager in the healthcare sector. My other passions are travelling with my wife Jill, my two children, and wine.

I generally prefers to shoot landscapes, nature, and rural or urban architecture. Most of the shots featured here have been taken with either a Canon G9 or Nikon D90.
