Photography, why ? One day around 2004-2005 (around my 20), I realised that memories vanished. Combined to my change of school, and so of routine, I felt the urge to document those tiny moments of daily life that creates nostalgia.

In 2005, I think mobile phones were just be gifted by color screens so no camera yet but a friend of mine had a slim digital camera he carried in his bag at school. The perfect idea for my upcoming birthday! I look for one and got as a gift a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T7. In my pocket, I could take a shot as easily as we know it today with mobile phones. So, I started to document my daily (literally) life from 2005.

For Christmas 2009, after 4 years of intense use, I retired the loyal slim camera and got my current Canon 450D with one and only wide-range lens Tamron 18-200mm.

Material choice Even, if a single wide-range lens is less performant than having several lenses (1) I love functionality and spontaneity so having to switch lenses to take a picture was not for me (remember I came form the spontaneous "mobile-like" camera) and (2) as a traveller I am minimalist so a bag dedicated to photography, no way!

Places and topics Between 2010 and 2013, I lived abroad (Romania and Czech Republic) and seized the opportunity to cover Central and Eastern Europe. Daily life and travelling blended. I would describe my photography as "environmental". I use to shoot architecture (houses and details), landscapes, paths (roads, streets, railways, etc.) and try and catch atmospheres (wide views, several elements specific to the location in the same photo, food, ... ). I look for authenticity, which is tougher and tougher with intensive tourism and globalisation.

Style Certainly due to my will of spontaneity, I am not fond of high technique. I focus on how to highlight the subject from the photo by using framing, proportions, construction lines, symmetry and so on. I use "natural" (existing) light only and even if filters give an emotional message, I prefer to keep "raw" colors (Older photos may be filtered)

Sharing I opened this account the following month I got the 450D, in january 2010 to share my explorations.

For the sake of sharing, I try and be as exhaustive as possible about pictures details. In the description, you will find information or feelings relative to these explorations. I hope you'll learn something. Have fun and don't hesitate to ask for Information!

If you want to see a content more daily-life oriented, here is my Instagram account.

Note: When Flickr offered extra space for a limited period of time, I uploaded "massively". So if you see pictures with a IMG_ title, I haven't work on them yet. (e.g pictures in London and Istanbul albums)
