I'm a professional freelance trumpet player. The only real hobby I've ever had was music and that turned into my profession.

I've always loved taking photos, having built up a crate full since I was kid with simple good old point and shoot photography. I've gradually been upgrading my cameras until I crossed the threshold to DSLR Photography with my D3000.

I'm pretty new to the game but I've been learning fast. Through books, online photoshop tutorials and my fellow musician pal Dave Livesey (also on Flickr) who started the a little before me and has been helping me catch up (photoshop tips, HDR pictures and technical advice).

I really enjoy taking the shots and then bringing out the best in them. I hope I can pick up some tips, (gentle :P ) critic on how to improve my own shots and inspiration from other photographers.
