Hi, I’m Matti Palmunen

In the 80's I photographed quite much with my Pentax cameras, but when the world turned to digi, I left my hobby behind. Though I have always had a digicamera too, but in many years I didn’t use it much. A couple of years ago I retired and thanks to the increased free time i have started to photograph more.

I use to carry little Sony compact cameras in my pocket while walking with the dog, so most of my pictures are taken with them. I have Pentax DSLR-cameras too.

My objects are very modest from everyday life. I have a thought that someday I will focus on photography more seriously, give it more time and go to different places because of it, but will see... I should focus on developing my photography technically. I know I'm just an amateur who tries to capture everything interesting and inspiring in his surroundings with my camera.

I like simplicity and photos which shows the object as it is. I don't know what to think of photos whose subject has been manipulated a lot by the photographer and photos that depict artificial the environment. I prefer to keep it simple.
