Hi, I'm Matthias and I come from a small little town in Lower Austria near Vienna. After finishing my PhD in theoretical physics, I got a job in the semiconductor industry and besides my passion for science, I love to sing and play the guitar, where I also write my own instrumental solo pieces which you can find here: www.soundcloud.com/matthias-kuehmayer

Quite a few years ago, my uncle showed me some of his photographs and opened my eyes for the beauty of nature. Since then, my passion for photography has grown more and more, where I'm mostly drawn to things that seem unspectacular at first glance, but taking a closer look reveals a fascinating beauty. Coming from the countryside, the majority of my images show flowers or landscapes, but I also love architecture and abstract art.

I just love creating in general, no matter if in photography or music, putting all the elements in an image or tones in a melody together until the final composition reaches what you had imagined and expresses what you've seen or felt without the need of any words.
