I'm a landscape photographer rather than a shooter of portraits.

I think that's because I shot in 35mm for years, and there's so much you can do with light, texture and a sense of space. I picked up a digital for the first time in September 2009. I love the immediacy of it, and of looking at pictures back-lit on a screen.

I've taken press photographs in the past - I'm a reporter, not a photographer. I'm teaching myself product photography as I go along, using my watches and vintage shaving gear.
