Travel a lot & carry my camera around quite a bit, too.

I've had a long-lasting interest towards photography. My dad took me to a photo club with him when I was a kid and showed me some principles. I then practiced with his 1960's Yashica SLR, snapping pictures now and then and also developing some black and white pictures.

I bought my first digital camera, an Olympus C-740UZ, in 2003. With it, my hobby shifted to the next gear. Free of film and developing costs, I began having my camera with me as often as I could.

My first DSLR was a used Nikon D70 I bought from in 2007. Nowadays I mostly shoot my D700 and Lumix LX7. I'm getting more and more interested in strobist lighting.

I've always had an interest in visual arts. Drawing and painting feel difficult, so I guess capturing the scene with my camera is the natural way for me to contribute.
