Mathijs has been a contact of mine for some time now, and its been a real pleasure watching him develop as a photographer. I can spot his work amongst my contact stream without needing to see the name, I think this is a real turning point, as he has developed his own style which is something many of us will never be able to do. I think Mathijs' talent is his ability to be capture mood and a sense of calm; I find myself gazing into his shots much of the time taking in the serenity.
