Georgia native Mathew Guttman has helped support youth baseball in Dunwoody, Georgia, by serving as an umpire at Murphey Candler Baseball Park. There, he officiated tournament games between teams vying for a chance to play in the Little League World Series. In his position as home plate umpire, Mathew Guttman called balls and strikes and maintained responsibility for overall management of the games.

 

An accomplished student athlete, Mathew Guttman competed on a three-time state champion cross-country team and received varsity letter distinction in folk-style wrestling. Having skied slopes in the Northeastern United States and Austria since his early childhood, he has developed the skill to negotiate black diamond-rated trails. Guttman also performs weight training three time per week in an effort to build strength and increase muscularity.

 

During the summer of 2016, Mathew Guttman has been working in Dunwoody as a delivery driver for Jet’s Pizza. He maintains an intellectual interest in business and political science and majors in economics at Auburn University in Alabama. In his free time, he enjoys listening to rock music from the 1980’s and 90’s and watching his favorite television program, The Walking Dead.
