I'm a retired guy and avid amateur photographer (have been fascinated with photography since I was a very young kid). As my younger brother (not young, just a bit younger) often said, "I knew I was going to get old -- I just didn't expect it to happen so fast." On the other hand, and lest I seem to be complaining, I fully realize that becoming older beats hell out of the alternative. And, hey, senior discounts and naps are nice.

Joined Flickr many years ago (2005) and shared many a photo for a time but then fell into disuse as other photo sharing opportunities seemed more in line with my goals. Now, with SmugMug in charge (and I believe, doing their best to improve things) I'm trying it again with an intention to be a bit more active (we all know about intentions - we'll see how that goes - sigh).

I'm slowly adding photos into Flickr, initially putting them in albums by year of capture. Its kind of educational for me, reviewing my images from prior years. I'm seeing some evolution in my shooting/processing that is interesting (to me, at least).
