After realising that I was spending too much time sitting in front of the computer, playing games and reading and so on, I settled on the decision to buy myself a camera to help me get out of the house more. I was talking to a good friend of mine whom I met in college the previous year, he knew more about photography than me, about what i was wanted out of the camera and what to look for. Eventually i decided on the NIKON D5100, It had only been out for around 10 months before I decided I wanted it and so it would satisfy the gadget freak in me. It took me a few months to acquire the funds for the camera, i was set to leave for Kraków, Poland for the month of April to work as part of a college course and so wanted to have the camera before leaving so that i could practice and become familiar with the camera. I did eventually get the camera on March 13th 2012, luckily my birthday fell on march 1st and my family "Invested" in me to help me get the camera :D. I started my chronicling the first several days of having the camera, which can be found in my sets, just so i could look back at some point to see how much I've learned, if anything.
