Everything is better with a Mary. As the granddaughter of Mary Ella and Mary Jane, two darned talented women, I am a Mary in exile. I currently live and teach in New York, but long for the mountains of Appalachia. My work incorporates traditional painting techniques with mixed media collage. I also use quite a bit of encaustics with a beeswax base, so my art smells great!

I have also recently branched into and become rather consumed by felt and felting and all the miriad things that one can do will the woolly stuff.

I am a bit of an art slut...so I will try any media at any time. Watch out.
