I'm a bilingual (Spanish) educator turned stay-at-home mom of two beautiful boys. I learned to sew when I was 9--my mother was my 4-H teacher. But I never enjoyed it probably because reading patterns made me want to tear my hair out and my sister was so much better at it than I. But I have given sewing a second chance in this middle part of my life and am finding so much satisfaction and joy in it. I love to make and give and make some more. I am an avid thrifter and I have just about filled my entire sewing room with amazing vintage and cool fabric/trims/notions/linens that I've bought for pennies.
