As a geoscience professor, I travelled extensively, especially in Africa, but also in South and North America, Europe, New Zealand, Canada and elsewhere. I also love my Palatinate home and my current place of residence in the Berlin-Potsdam area. I shoot photos since the 1980s with several NIKON FM2 and FM2n cameras, later with various digital cameras. Recently my equipment has been upgraded with a NIKON Z fc with a Nikkor Z DX 16–50 mm 1:3.5–6.3 VR, Nikkor Z DX 50–250 mm 1:4.5–6.3 VR, and Nikkor Z MC 50 mm 1:28 macro lense.
