I used to think of myself as a good photographer, that was back in the days when amateurs used print film and us enthusiasts used Kodachrome 64. All the gear and no idea is a pretty good description.

After a long absence during which time I tried various compacts I returned to photography and a whole new digital world. Determined to learn from my previous mistakes, older and perhaps wiser I sold my film gear, my guitar, mountain bike and bought a Nikon D3000 with kit lenses and later a D7000. I am passionate about digital photography and the freedom it brings to try new ideas.
