Martin is an inspirational photographer, he has had a big impact on my photography. He is one of the very few internationally renowned photographers who takes the time to communicate personally with his photographic and listening audience around the world. His work with nature and his ability to make his art work pop by his use of composition and narrow dept of field is simply stunning, but don't take my word for it, check it out for yourself. Martin's ability to explain in detail his technique is what I personally think makes him stand out from the others, he appears to be an all round nice guy. When I listen to his podcast's I always feel as if Ive just sat down in a Japanese tea house with him and taken in every word hes spoken. Keep up the excellent work mate, your an inspiration. What they don't know, however, is that he has another passion--assuming the role of an industrial Guinness taster, responsible for sampling all of the finest draughts on tap in the Big Mikan. Martin is one of the greatest photographers I know. I began following his podcast and web community a few years ago and it has greatly influenced my photography. He has been very helpful with assisting me in understanding many of the more technical aspects of photography. There are decisions that I have made that have brought my photography to another level because of his input. He goes for the best and does not settle. In addition he has some amazing work, a really beautiful and artistic eye and a wonderful sense of direction in his photography. It is good meet a person who is so passionate about his photography. That's the kind of people I want to populate my world.

Being a fellow "Gaijin" here in Japan its great to see a different prospective on this strange but beautiful land.
