Hi I'm Martha-Ann.

I'm seventy seven years young, I've been happily married for fifty four years, a wife, mam, nana, grandma, sister, niece and auntie.

I'm from Yorkshire or as we like to say 'God's Own Country'.

I live in a village in the country but I'm near the sea too so have the best of both worlds.

I love going out walking with my camera...I'm not technical, just point and shoot.

I'd been having treatment for ovarian cancer and the camera was to get me out walking again & regain my strength.....little did anyone know what a camera nut I'd become, it's rarely off my wrist now!

Things have changed a bit over the years and I now have diabetes, psoriasis, Morton's neuroma, an arthritic shoulder, thumbs, knee, toes and ankle, due to a breakage, all of which slows me down at times, I've got spondylolisthesis and spinal stenosis and an annoying underlying heart condition which causes me to collapse from time to time.

I won't give in or give up on the walking which I enjoy...it's difficult, more of a hobble...lol...but I try.

I don't drive so am confined to local areas unless I get driven anywhere but my DH or friends.

I had to take early retirement from primary education due to ill health and photography has become my most enjoyed hobby in conjunction with walking, birdwatching and nature in general.

I like quirky, close-ups, birds, insects, flowers, scenery...anything really!

I got my very first camera ever in September 2008, it's just a cheap point & shoot but it does me.

I also enjoy gardening, keeping koi, walking, bird watching, nature, history, geography, genealogy, reading, cooking, puzzles, zentangles, art, embroidery, tapestry and a whole host of crafty things.
