Hello and thanks for visiting my profile!

I am a Manchester based photographer with a particular interest in landscapes and panoramas. Having had an interest in photography since childhood I rediscovered my interest with the rise of competent cameras on smartphones. The iPhone fascinated me in terms of the images I was able to capture, edit and share all from the same device. Not having manual control on this device enabled me to focus on composition and I became fixated on trying to capture the best images I could within the limitations of the camera.

However I eventually wanted something more. I purchased my DSLR, a Nikon D5100, in Spring 2012 and in September I enrolled on an A-level course that I have recently completed. The course advanced my knowledge both in terms of technical skill and creative awareness that I feel is reflected in my recent images.

I aim to create images that make people look again and convey a certain emotion about the time and place conveyed.
