Kudu Private Nature Reserve
Drag to set position!
If you happen to be on the road between Lydenburg and Ohrigstad on your way to the Kruger National Park, or on the road to Burgersfort you will, in all likelihood, be unaware of the private nature reserve that spans 5500 ha nestled in the mountains. And if you did stop for a moment on your journey to go and peek at the the gorge formed by the Dorps River which lower down froths and intertwines with the waters of the Spekboom river, you may have wondered who was fortunate enough to own the houses across the valley which, because it is elevated above the lowveld, is malaria free.
For the 125 shareholders of this farm however, the beauty and varied topography of this spectacular corner of Africa is only the beginning of the journey they embarked on when they bought into the forested lands, the savannah, wetlands and waterways that comprise Kudu Private Nature Reserve.
