Csaba Markus is a Hungarian-American artist, painter, sculptor and publisher. Evoking the elegance of Renaissance art, Csaba Markus masterfully combines Old World ideals and classical mythology with contemporary flair. Inspired by Leonardo da Vinci, Markus is best known for his “Modern Mona Lisas,” which combines ancient techniques with modern methods to create ethereal portraits of confident and mysterious young women.

 

Markus’ artwork has been displayed around the world and featured in prominent galleries in France, Japan, England, Russia, and the United States.

 

As an artist, he primarily works in the field of printmaking caldograph, etching and serigraphy. His work also includes oil painting, drawing, glass art, photography and sculpture. Markus's painting titled "Pure Love" has been selected as one of the World's 10 most sensual paintings by Toronto Sun newspaper.
